Shared energy, inspiration, and athletic achievements — that's how the start of 2025 at CETAV can be summed up. The team gathered for the first time at an off-site meeting at Liblice Castle, where they refined strategic directions and strengthened collaboration. Sporting challenges were not left out: the Stromovka Relay Run and the May Bike to Work challenge proved that physical activity and team spirit are integral to CETAV's culture. Here's a quick look back at the events that got not only the blood pumping, but also new ideas flowing.

Off-site Meeting at Liblice Castle

At the turn of spring and summer 2025, the entire CETAV team – from both the project and transfer development departments – came together for a joint off-site meeting in the elegant surroundings of Liblice Castle. A special guest, our section director JUDr. Jiří Malý, also joined and actively participated in both the working and sports portions of the event.

The morning session was dedicated to strategy: the center director shared updates and plans for the near future. The inspiring discussion revealed that in the coming year, CETAV aims to focus on strengthening interdepartmental cooperation and adopting innovative approaches to technology transfer. After a delicious lunch at the castle restaurant, the team moved on to an afternoon teambuilding that tested both physical endurance and brainpower. The winning team, “Machiavelli,” composed of Jiří Malý, Klára Langerová, Michal Beluský, Jiří Kavan, and Barbora Mašková, claimed victory thanks to excellent task distribution and flawless terrain navigation.

CETAV took part in the sixth annual company Stromovka Relay Run (May 26, 2025) with the team “Cetav_jede” featuring:

  1. Barbora Mašková
  2. Klára Kunzová
  3. Martin Smekal
  4. Šimon Pospíšil

After registering at Villa Lanna, warming up, and heading to the starting line, the symbolic starting shot rang out at 5:00 p.m. near the Stromovka viaduct. Our runners gave an outstanding performance and secured a fantastic 3rd place among corporate relay teams.

After the race, the team enjoyed a well-earned rest and a joint bonfire sausage roast at Villa Lanna – a perfect conclusion to an athletic afternoon filled with endorphins, informal chats, and new ideas for the next edition.

Bike to Work – May 2025

The May challenge “Bike / Walk to Work” gave the CETAV team a big dose of fresh air. All five participants enjoyed their daily movement so much that they decided to continue commuting sustainably even after the competition ended.

Together, they covered 381 km and saved 60.9 kg of CO₂. Martin logged the highest number of kilometers (193 km), while Bára achieved the best consistency (84%). The challenge turned out to be a great incentive for sustainable commuting – and if the weather cooperates, you’ll keep spotting CETAV colleagues on the cycle paths in the coming months.

In Conclusion

2025 is proving that movement and shared activity are an essential part of CETAV’s culture – whether it’s a strategic meeting at a castle, a relay race, or commuting by bike. Thanks to everyone who participated, cheered, or helped organize – and we look forward to more challenges that will energize both body and mind!
